The keynote will cover Dubai Municipality’s continuous efforts to champion sustainability and reduce environmental footprints. It will also highlight the strategic roadmap to achieve the national vision set in relation to irrigation and landscaping in order to meet future city expansion requirements and big events being hosted by Dubai, like Expo 2020.
9:25 am - 10:05 am Abu Dhabi Municipality Vision 2030: sustainable landscape irrigation in the Emirate
The Dh3.5 billion plan entails that all landscape and streetscape irrigation and fountain systems will be replaced by treated sewage effluent (TSE) by the year 2030. As part of the capital’s vision of a sustainable, eco-friendly and green city, the masterplan will help save clean water that is currently being washed away.

Inspired by major European cities such as Paris, Vienna and Barcelona with their boulevards, streets and parks, DCH’s green structure is conceived to have access to a central park which will be the core of the district.

This panel discussion will involve municipalities and consultants to address the challenges of stakeholder collaboration in masterplanning and seek solutions to successfully delivery projects on time and on budget.
